"...once our building blocks are laid bare, the future we build upon them will be without limit." - The Hanso Foundation
photographed by Dr. Marvin Candle
September of 2005.
Oceanic Flight 815 strays off course and crashes into the Pacific.
Everybody dies.
CUT TO:
The recovery mission.
A fleet of Dharma boats rushing towards the crash site, prepared to gather any and every piece of the doomed airliner; this includes wreckage, luggage, and of course, the bodies of the deceased. Imagine picking up a floating sneaker with a foot still inside. Or seeing the bloated, rotting corpse of one Jack Shepard, half eaten by the sea. These images of horror, they do not bother the Dharma Initiative like they do you or I. This tragedy is their purpose. They have been watching the skies - and waiting - for this beautiful day to arrive.
CUT TO:
The fuselage is towed back to island. The bodies are stored in a special cryogenic facility located somewhere inside the mountain, where over 500 Dharma employees work and live, maintaining the compound and collecting information on a world-wide network of radars, spy satellites, ground-based sensors, airplanes, ships, and hot air balloons.
The place feels like the set of a James Bond film, with men and women in personalized white Dharma jumpsuits driving little electric carts from one brightly lit cavern to another. In the mountain you will find a barbershop, a chapel, a cafeteria, a fitness center, and a small movie theater - where they actually screened the home movie of Oceanic Flight 815 plummeting into the sea.
The crowd mostly cheered.
CUT TO:
A tight shot of a doctor, sweating profusely, concentration set into his droll features, replacing a foot on the frozen, lifeless body of one Claire Littleton, an expecting mother. At least she was, is, and will be again. According to Dharma.
The well lit operating room, with it's pearl white walls, has been the base of operations since the crash. A framed photo of novelist Mary Shelley hangs alone, above the octogon-shaped operating table,
Mary Shelley
if for nothing else, inspiration.
Several years pass, and the miraculous advancements in plastic, tissue, and nerve surgery which the Dharma scientists had so carefully honed was then put to the test. God himself would envy the work of the Dharma. Or so they told themselves. 48 of the crash victims were re-constructed, to the finest detail; hair color, freckles, tattoos, you name it...
The 'temples' were ready.
But the magnificent and highly addictive God Game was not over yet. Electro-magnetic research had led to the discovery of life after death. Re-Animation. A highly respected Dharma scientist named Herbert West had brought a dog back from the dead, named him 'Frank', and lived a long and satisfying life with the animal by his side. So, after years of perfecting the art on animal subjects, one by one, the passengers of Oceanic Flight 815 were able to be brought back from the dead, to a level just below consciousness, and placed under constant supervision. Kept in a coma-like state for two more years, the 'temples' were be monitored and studied over and over and over...
And then, one day, it was time to begin...
The fuselage and luggage were placed at two seperate points on the island. One might compare this job to that of the set decorators on an upscale disaster film. All the scene needed now --- survivors.
CUT TO:
A man named John Locke opening his eyes, hearing the sound of dying jet engines and people's screams, on his back he sees smoke and fire. "Is this hell?", John asks himself, before realizing he now has a long forgotten but somehow familiar 'working' sensation in his legs, which he has not felt in many years. And many more, actually.
And this was the exact purpose of the experiment. The big question.
Could the real memories of the "survivors" be brought back to life as well? And if so, would they be intact? Or would they become confused, and intersperse with the memories, ideas, and thoughts of other "survivors" around them?
Because there is body, and there is soul...
And the Dharma Initiative knows this... _________________

That was a good read.
I don't believe they died and were revived later, though. _________________ House, M.D.: "Rational arguments usually don't work on religious people. Otherwise, there'd BE no religious people". |

Papoose, you are a douchebag. Why can't you just give the man or women the respect they deserve for crafting a coherent, believable theory.(if you buy into the fact there is experimental medical technology well beyond anything we have seen) I don't think its true because I have other ideas but it was well thoughtout and crafted and is deserving of praise. _________________

Wow, a little harsh there. But you are right, something should be done about all these nosensical and ignorant posts.
Good theory all around. Like Izadussshhh said it takes a real leap to believe it but it could be molded to fit to an explaination. Personally I don't think the crash was staged but this is sort of a hybrid version where it was a real crash but was set up a later date. |

I just wanted to display a darker version of what may have happened involving the crash of the Oceanic Flight 815, and provide a possible explanation of the experiments(?) these mad scientists(?) are supposedly(?) conducting, with their evil Dharma wands...
And I'm sure if you read Mary Shelley's original version of 'Frankenstien', on which my theory is loosely based, you will find it to be very possible, and all too real... And the Hanso Foundation Website has some very interesting and highly unlikely sh*t on there as well.
I mean, the LOST island has a monster.... So if you can believe that, you could also believe that 'Frankenstein' sort of tale could provide a possible expanation of the show...
I don't know, it's just another theory... No big deal. _________________

Regarding these "rare pics" of yours;
The one with the boat comes from a boat selling site.
The photo by Dr. Candle is from a spanish celebrity gossip site
The bunker is from a user-created site provided by wanadoo free webs hosting. It's a pic of a nuclear bunker, btw.
These pics arne't supposed to be authentic, right? Just to illustrate your theory, correct? |
