Statement
Welcome to the Careful Observations Thread
A collection of Lost Continuity Issues, Production Errors, and other Observations.
I think that many of the things listed within this thread
are Clues-These clues may have been staring us in the face,
yet we miss or choose to Ignore them......
Production Errors will get listed due to the nature of this threads content
but I feel there are too many "odd" things going on for them all to be PE
Which are Clues? Which are Blunders ?
Decide for yourself.

Personal View
I think many things within this thread Hint @ Mulitpal Time/Reality and/or manipulated/alterd memorie's.
We the Viewer's are seeing event's from more than one Reality/Story,
spliced together to look like just one.

Lost presents this by telling a story with various Flavours
Example:

2nd Story

3rd Story
Clothing, Dialogue, Props, Time of day, Extras, Size, Colours, Injuries, Personalities
Each story (Timeline/Reality) has its own flavour.

Lost take's segments from each story and tells the same story...but with various flavours

Stuff waiting to be Placed

In the episode when Eko takes Locke to Look for The Pearl Station we see them outside at Night.
Then In the Hatch Kate tells that It will take some time for them to Pick up Henrys trail Because its Dark.
Then Jack tells Sawyer He needs the heroin and tells Kate to go with Him, They leave to go fetch the heroin from Sawyers stash, But Its daylight, So either the Hatch is a Very Very long way from the beach Or something Is not right.
They made a point twice of telling us Its night time But Then suddenly Its daytime Question

Reversed frames

Rooms the same But not the same

Hurley photo Day/Night

Letters on plane, Big Black/Small White

Ecko's Mole on his Lip

Nurse Missing Mole and Necklace

This Nurse Also apears in season 3 ep 1 with jack when he Hears his farther get a call to his MoBile.

Spooky, it sounds interesting and maybe lends some weight to the theory that the island is messing with their collective consciousness, but I can't get the thing to play. Maybe others are having similar trouble? Can you find another link to the same clip??

extras are hired to walk around take after take after take. There's no mysterious reason there... just something that occurs during filming.

Audio Change's

Pilot episode Part 1

Jack flashback:
FLIGHT ATTENDANT: "Ladies and gentlemen, the Pilot has switched on the fasten seatbelt signs. Please return to your seats and fasten your seatbelts".

Pilot Part 2
Previously on Lost
"Ladies and gentlemen,Please fasten you seatbelt's"

Charlie flashback:
FLIGHT ATTENDANT: "Ladies and gentlemen, the Captain has turned on the fasten seatbelt signs. Please return to your seats and fasten your seatbelts".

Kate flashback:
FLIGHT ATTENDANT: "Ladies and gentlemen, the Captain has switched on the fasten seatbelt signs. Please return to your seats and fasten your seatbelts".

Should'nt the events all have the same audio if we are seeing only one planecrash ?
This may be one of the 1st signs that Lost is showing Multipal timeline's

Pilot Part 2 Previously on Lost segment

Scene: Boone and shannon:
Claire says "Did anybody see that"
Boone and shannon are Looking to their Right and Booone gets Up and walks to His Right
In the Original they were Looking Left and Boone got up and walked to his Left (This scene has been inverted)

Scene: Charlie and Kate
Charlie come's out of the Toilet
Kate "What are you doing in the bathroom"
Charlie "What"
Monster sound and they Both look Left
The Monster sound they hear Has completly Changed and is Not the same.

This scene shows that way back when they aired the Very first Previously On lost segment
they had already decided to do the strange editing things they would continued to do through-out Lost.

Thought's
Differant Versions of Audio recorded and used might suggest several simalar but differant events.

Why would they waist time to mess around with the POL segment,
Its just to remind us what happened last time, Is'nt it ?
It makes No sence to Invert one of the scenes and change the audio of another.

This is the first example but not the last of Previously on lost segements being edited and Audio changes aswell as Inverted & edited audio clips.

Sun & Jins Bathroom scene

EP6-House of the Riseing Sun
Jin come's home with Blood on his hands and shirt.
Sun Follows him to the bathroom and asks questions.

EP17-In Translation
We see why Jin came home with Blood On him, And we see the Bathroom scene for the second time.

Most of the scene is Identical Except It has been chopped up and re-arranged. And some things Just don’t happen The second time.

Below is an Animation showing the start of the Bathroom scene.
Top (Rising sun)
Bottom (In Translation)
Its a fairly large animation I suggest you "Right click save as"
Sun & Jin Bathroom Slide’s
No explanation Needed, I think you can all see this One clearly for yourselves.
Here are the 2 scenes so you can see Im not just making things up.
Rising sun
In Translation

Another Thing The 2 bathroom scene Episodes have In common
In Both those episodes Jin and Michael have a fight
In the 1st Jin beats up Michael
In the 2nd Michael beats up Jin.
Both episodes have a bathroom scene and a fight scene
But Both are differant. (possible 2 running timelines ?)

Airport scene with Sun & Jin.

Watch Sun as the camera pans.
Sun stands alone Looking across at Jin, preparing herself to leave him.
Behind her a Woman (Blue Dress)
followed By a Black woman(Purple top) & Man(suit)
all walk past Sun from Left to right while A man (shorts purple top)walks Right to left.
All walk past sun.
(Fast walking Blue dress woman and Purple top man walk completely out of shot)

Camera swaps To close up of Sun.
We see Sun still looking at Jin then look away.
behind Sun we see again the Blue dress Woman
followed by purple top man, Purple top woman & suit Man.

The odd thing about this scene is the repeated extras are doing the same thing
Except the purple top guy who is now walking the opposite direction

Here is a Movie clip of the scene Movie Clip
Everyone eles stood around sun is in exactly the Same place In Both Camera Shots. So clearly they Went to the effort of Setting that scene up with peoples positions In mind.

Watch the clip a few times and Look at all the Little Details that are the same in both shots. Im sure we are supossed to notice that Purple top Guy

After the Above Mentioned scene We get a long close up look at Sun
showing her sadness.

After some time she Looks Over at Jin. In the background is the same purple top guy stood with the trolly again. Talking to another guy.
Then the Camera Cuts to Sun who is still looking across at jin and Instantly The same Guy Walks Right Behind her
Then the camera looks back at Jin & hes still behind him
Then he is again seen behind Sun, But walking the other way, Just as he did earlier in the scene above.

Another Previously on Lost Edit.

This S1 Previously on Lost segment is very different to the Original
(But it could be due to trying to shorten it)
One part of it Michaels hand is not doing the same thing.
So I thought I would post it Just in case there is more to it than just a shortening.

I know where you're coming from. I'll try to put this in the nicest way I can, but I completely disagree. Lost is just a TV show. They are succeptable to mistakes as well. The link in my sig will take you to a site that has 200+ Lost mistakes listed. Get out your DVDs from season 1, write down a few good mistakes, and take a look for yourself.

I say continuity error, but hey, that's just me.

1X15-Homecoming

This One is Not as clear, It is quite well hidden. and it could be Just a Production Error
1X15
7:07- Charlie is watching a woman In a busy Bar We see the woman moving to the right and to her left we see a man moving same direction,Pink?? Jumper, White shirt and black tie.
7:12-The woman Joins her friends and The WSBT(White shirt black tie guy) now walking Infront of her close to the camera
7:17- Camera cuts to charlie Who is Looking to his left at the woman so The guy should be heading In charlies general direction, And yes there he is walking behind charlie. and he walks right past him and away out of shot. (Nothing strange there)
7:25- Camera has cut from charlie back the the woman and Holly batman How did he get there again. Wink

There are alot of Extra In the bar But again we see a guy In a place he should not be
