anything that does not say NEW was written before the finale...id like to note.

-the other's camp that michael was taken to was composed of yurts. Yurts are made to withstand strong weather patterns and event. so the hatch (which obviously goes underground) is probably the weather generating station. it makes sense that if michael was following his compass and it said north it would take him there according to the map cause the magnet on the island shifts the north 36 degrees to the right.

-the island has something to do with the vile vortices on the planet, more over jsut the areas of magnetic disturbances. the nigerian plane flew over one when exiting the country (over algeria). Danielles boat did the same as well as the plane itself. I remembered reading something on THF.com about zanzibar and i looked it up. turns out they were big on slave trade in the late 1800s, and there is a vortex right by zanzibar, resulting in the black rock...meaning that the island has existed ABOVE GROUND for at least a century and a half. dont forget there is one in the arctic for the polar bears to get there.

-DHARMA definately, or part of it anyway, is there to study the magnetic disturbances on the planet. why would the little detail of the university of michigan being the school of the degroots be given to us. well, there is a place in lake ontario called the marysbourgh vortex, responsible for disappearences like that. turns out its like 100 miles from ann arbor michigan, where U of Michigan is.

-the hatch probably controls these verticies. dharma figured out the intervals of the magnetic vortexes and hitting the button every 108 minutes stops it from happening. i bet that when we find out what happens when the button isnt pushed, its a desmond flashback and he doesnt hit the button, resulting in the vortex being activated over oceanic 815...and not hitting the button after locke destroys the computer results in something else coming to the island.

-the question mark eko saw wasnt a question mark. it was a circle with a dot in it, not much unlike the circle with the dot in it on the mural in the swan. the real question mark is what jack and crew are going to find in the finale, and there is where the vortex gets activated.

-the numbers most likely have something to do with the planetary grid. the planetary grid is 64 points on the globe that point out negative and positive energies...they are responsible for the vortices, healing energies, and also continental shapes. look it up, its interesting stuff. there is no other set of numbers on the island or another hatch.

-the others probably came from a military ship/vessel that got transported to the island in a covert mission to stop dharma/hanso (army knife, strength, survival and disguise abilities). THEY ARE NOT EVIL, BUT ACTUALLY HELPFUL regardless of what you may think

-locke and rose healed because of the positive energy/healing energies channeled to the island from the planetary grid

-the island is a transport bank from the vorticies. the guys behind lost keep on referring to a "lost mythology", meaning that they have created their own mythology, making it impossible to determine what EXACTLY the island is. there are places mentioned liked the home of Cthulhu and such, but many of these places are the mind products of a single person...THEREFORE it is doubtful that many of these previously conceived ideas connect EXACTLY to lost.

-Look up new age thinking. it says that the mind has the ability to do much more than it can, but has to be awakened, usually by visions or dreams. if DHARMA was new age, they may have done something to the island to make the mind awaken.

-the sickness was probably the result of this mind awakening thing. thats why danielle's partners went crazy in the dark territory. maybe she means the dark territory of the mind? interesting to think about. what if the island is actually a physical constuct of the mind...where there are bad places, good places, and places you need to explain/decide for yourself?

-does anyone else think that its interesting that this monster everyone fears has only killed one person...the pilot of the plane? Why him? who was he really? if he were alive...he would probably be the only source of hope for the survivors......or maybe something else.

-who took cindy?

-finally, for now...the others didnt make the plane crash. they got the names of people from their interjected spies...another covert thing done by the military/intelligence agencies.

-NEW- also, the may 19th podcast was actually the first one ive ever listened to and something struck me as interesting about it, so i posted a question to lindelof and cuse about it. the announcer guy who opens, closes, and does the interview never says his name...but he sure as hell sounds like Francois Chou...the guy who plays marvin candle/wickman...etc. We all know what that could mean... Listen again and tell me im wrong.

-NEW- like i said, the magnetic north was shifted 36 degrees. michael was told to bear at 324 because 360 is true north, 36 more than 324

-NEW- Widmore is central. he sent desmond to the island to remove him from his daughters life. penelope has been trying to find him ever since.

-NEW- the others know more than they put off. they set up a fake dharma station to lead sayid away. they run the island.

-NEW- the foot with four toes was something from an ancient civilization (atlantis comes to mind...look up the four toes thing). the incident probably cut the rest of the statue off and it is underwater.

Holy $#!% there was a clue in M-I-3 for Lost and i think u just solved it.. The most obvious clue which links to this.. Is what Tom Cruise and his wife use to keep in touch they're call saying i guess..

Very interesting.

The Island must be sort of like a stopping point between the verticies, so in reality, "God can't see the island" because it is between various points on the planet that act as a shortcut to eachother. A plane, for example, enters one spot and is transported through to another spot? But somehow they can't make it through the shortcut so they crash somewhere in the middle? Stuck, or unstuck, in time? And there happens to be an island where ever this is, between the vertices?

Do you get what I am saying? And if so, is this what you mean?

This idea reminds me of SlaughterHouse Five and The Third Policeman.

what is your thought on locke at the end of season 1 who's been taken by the black smoke(smokey)

is he not supose to be on the island?

i think he was suposse to be on the island but not with the other losties i think the smoke was taking him to somebody maybe him whose living underground in a hatch.

i think his purpose on the island is one the biggest of them all

or maybe there were coming close to a place that must stay secret somehow as a distraction

all guesses but whats your thought on al this aspeciallly why he is been taken and remember the first time he looked into they eye he was not taken or harmed there is something up with this

I still find it a very hard clue that no one has found them, there is something more going on than "just a plane crash"
