DEAD IS DEAD
These scenes are split during different times as they jump from when Ajira crashed to a few days on the island after John Locke's resurrection.
DAY OF THE AJIRA FLIGHT 316 CRASH LANDING
We see the crash landing of Ajira Flight 316 again, only this time from the ground as it releases its cargo either by accident or on purpose before it lands. Something rectangular and solid can be seen falling from sky over the island. We soon realize it's John Locke's casket and it has fallen into the water where the waterfall is located (and where Christian Shepherd's empty casket was found by Jack in season one).
DAY ONE AFTER THE AJIRA 316 CRASH LANDING
After awakening from being hit in the head with an oar by Sun, Ben takes the other outrigger to the main island dock (and finds Lapidus and Sun's abandoned outrigger). He treks into Dharmaville and accesses the secret passage to summon the smoke monster and is confronted with his past deeds reminiscent of Mr. Eko's two confrontations with it, both in retrieved memories and physical.
Like Mr. Eko, he is ultimately faced by a likeness of a loved one in the form of the teenage Alex, who shows him his past which involves the abduction of baby Alex from Danielle from both his perspective and hers as pillars of black smoke can be seen right before he takes the baby. We then see images of Ben attacking Penny but it's not clear whether she is killed or survived on the houseboat. Other scenes quickly involve the purge, his father and other on/off island related scenes that are cut very quickly.
We begin to realize that Ben's judgement is necessary as a result of his return to the island after turning the donkey wheel and whether he is to continue or die. Alex becomes the smoke monster, engulfs him and drags Ben away into the jungle.
We later find out he's alive but severly injured, and is mysteriously back on the second island along with the two remaining outriggers. After the disappearance of Lapidus and Sun, Ilana, Cesar and Bram head off into the jungle and discover the unconscious Ben. Believing him to be injured from the crash they take him back to the makeshift infirmary.
OFF-ISLAND / PRE-AJIRA FLIGHT 316
Desmond returns to the houseboat and find a severly beaten and barely alive Penny along with an unharmed baby Charlie. Penny is taken to the hospital where she is declared brain dead and put on life support. Later on we see Charles Widmore visiting his daughter soon after his flight to Los Angeles and is met by a visibly shaken and angry Desmond who blames him for what happened to his family. Out of all of this Widmore finally meets his grandson and explains to Desmond that he has an ability to go back to the island and possibly save Penny's life by changing things, one of which is to kill Benjamin Linus. Desmond doesn't see how going back will change what has happened since "dead is dead" when it comes to Penny predicament. Widmore assures him he can correct this. However, it will again involve the help of Eloise Hawking.
THREE DAYS AFTER THE AJIRA 316 CRASH LANDING
Locke surfaces from the water, his burial suit heavily soaked, but happily resurrected as his face shows when he realizes where he is. He is met by Christian Shepherd not long after and told to head off in the location of where the new survivors are to continue his mission.
He travels through the foliage and finds his way to the new encampment during the night where he met by Ilana, Bram, Jed and other survivors. He is given a dry Ajira Airways blanket and is seated near the fire while Ilana heads off to the Hydra station to get Cesar.
FOUR DAYS AFTER THE AJIRA 316 CRASH LANDING
Llana and Cesar, intrigued by the mysterious John Locke, question him about what he knows. John menions that in order to help out the survivors he must get to the main island and talk to his people and one person in particular.
Both Cesar and Ilana talk alone and reveal they don't trust him but they have no choice since they need answers on how to get off the island. They agree to go with John to the main island and will bring along Bram and Jed. John tells them they will need to bring the injured Ben with them since he will be valuable.
When the party of six go to the beach they notice oe of the outriggers is gone. They all get into the remaining outrigger and head off towards the main island when they see the other stolen outrigger in the distance. Cesar pulls the rifle he found at the Hydra station out of his duffel bag and fires at the outrigger before John can stop him. Fire is returned and Jed is killed. |

| I dunno. A major character on a network tv series beating a woman to death is pretty heavy, but i guess it depends on how it's done. And Emerson is a good actor... |

| Well, what happened to Alex was heavy, so it's entirely possible. |

Correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure this part is where the outrigger in the distance is occupied by juliet, sawyer, locke, miles e.t.c. Where they are jumping through time because i clearly remember juliet shootin at the outrigger and killin someone which seems to be Jed, does anyone else agree? _________________ Never say never dude |

The possibilty that someone could make all of THAT up is VERY VERY VERY unlikely however it is strange that he listed no source and that is his one and only post. So either someon has WAY too much time on thier hands to think about Lost or its true and its going to be one freakin awesome episode! I'm going with option two. _________________
